ABOUT US

We believe the things that make life rich and meaningful belong to everyone.
 

Rise & Shine offers community access and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and Autism/ASD across Boulder and Weld Counties.

 

The activities we do together out in the community: hiking, fishing, cooking, making art, going out on a Friday night, exploring a local festival, are the same things so many adults enjoy. Our goal is simply to make sure everyone has access to them, with the right support alongside.
 

Through recreational and community-based settings, we focus on building real and lasting friendships, developing everyday skills, finding a true sense of belonging, and creating something genuinely worth looking forward to each week. When people are connected to their communities and to each other, life gets better, for everyone.
 

We are actively working toward Program Approved Service Agency (PASA) status with Colorado Medicaid, which will allow us to expand access to families on HCBS waivers. Until then, we are committed to keeping our services accessible through private pay, sliding scale options, and coordination with available grant funding.

Cooking Workshop Scene

ADULTS (18+)

Adventure Club
Mondays,10am-2pm

Outdoor and recreation-based outings in the community; nature parks, accessible hiking trails, fishing, geocaching, yoga, dance, swimming, and more. A great way to stay active, get outside, and explore what's right in our backyard.

Creative Connections
Tuesdays,10am-2pm

A relaxed morning of making things and being social; art projects, crafts, cooking and baking, group games, and coffee or tea hangouts. Something different every week, always in good company.

Adventure Club
Wednesdays,10am-2pm

Friday Night Out
Every other Friday, 5pm-9pm

A fun night out to end the week; dinner, live music, bowling, trivia, community events, and more. A regular something to look forward to on a Friday evening.

Weekend Exploration 
Every other Saturday, 10am-2pm

Fun, weekend outings to explore what's happening around Colorado; local festivals, community events, recreational opportunities, and new places to discover together.
